Post subject:  What to include in your introduction post

Welcome to the Wisdom of the Valar.

All the recruitment related posts are held here in the recruitment section.
If you're new to the kinship or the forum this is the place to start looking for information.

Introduce yourself first, you will need to be registered to do so although anyone can read the recruitment forum.

The majority of content is only fully accessible to members and above.
Limited access is available to registered users.

Some ideas of what to include in your introduction post:
  • Your name and/or the name you prefer to be known by.
  • Your interests and gaming experience.
  • Your level of experience in LOTRO.
  • If you are an experienced player, what areas of the game you are specifically interested in or know very well.
  • Any computing skills you have which might benefit the kinship, i.e. graphics, web design, css, mysql, php.
  • Your reasons for joining the kinship.
  • Your immediate goals within the game and kinship.
  • Your long term goals within the game and kinship.

Things we're not really interested in and/or you should not divulge are:
  • Any personal details or any information which could be used to steal your identity
  • Any information which could expose you to unwanted attention or harassment
Remember the recruitment section is open to all to read...

The recruitment section is an area where prospective and existing members can look to see what sort of people our members are, what they're interested in, what they bring to kinship and what they know about the game.

You are encouraged to keep your introduction post up to date so do please revisit it occassionally and edit it as required.
Here is mine...
