Summer is over and the fall has started. Expecting some news on the lotro side and the kin returning to it's natural form. In the last few weeks we've had the best Freep nights (in turnout), new officers, an extra lottery, kinauction, some nice ventures into Tier 2 and our chicken run to Minas tirith. Lotro itself had been pretty quiet while everyone was waiting for the new Developers letter showing us what Update 19 would bring. We've even been spoiled with the first Bullroarer test server build.

Kin news

The biggest news on the kinside would offcourse have to be the addition of Adye, Ozzsniper and Fingolfid as new officers. With Adye and Fin we've more officers for the day to day activities and general attention to kinnies. With Fin we've now once again a decidated Freep officer. Taking over from Jar who will do the Creep night.

Kin auctions and lottery events:
After the anniversary week. We decided december was too far off. And such we added to calendar the Fall lottery. And with the donations in item we had gotten we've done an impromptu kin auction weekend with over 250 (confirmed) items making their way into kinnies hands. Ranging from cosmetics to Blemished symbols and keys.

Chicken Run to Minas Tirith:

The run had a good turn out. The evening started a little slow with nearly all chickens showing themself. Eventually we found some extra protectors and we set off right on time for a speedy run.

In the first stretch we had one latecomer and a crash. But they decided to redo the start and with the sprint skill and an extra 5 minutes break they all caught up before we heading to Eregion. By this time two chickens decided to go adventurous and speed up their run and go ahead. Alas stealthed mobs remain a thing in Dunland. The second chicken took the warsteed race path through Far anorien where we took the old paths of the dead. Only to be met with a talkative mob on the road.

In the end after a nice brisk 3 hour run we made it all to Minas tirith when our grilled chickens relogged to their protectors. At the top of Minas tirith we got the obligatory screenshot before venturing to our doom like Denethor himself.

Middle Earth is now 5 holders of the Lord of the Wings title richer. And we hope the adventurous chickens make it a later date.

Freep and Creep Night (and afternoon):
The creep night remains a wonderfull oppportunity for all players get their inner evil on in the ettenmoors. Where freep night has gotten a little brother in Freep afternoon on the saturdays. With some smaller groups going straight for the throat of them orcs. These afternoons provide a more direct pvmp experience.

Horse Races:
We've had 3 normal mount races right on the heel of the warsteed races. But you can still join the 3 others. A larger group, but Ola still managed to make some great finishes putting her in the 2nd overall place. A few longer and more challenging races coming up. So hopefully i'll catch up again.

Upcoming Events:
For october (begin november) we got a screenshot competition and the Scavenger hunt planned. We're hoping to finalize dates and information this weekend. But with the Update 19 loaming at the end of the month. They might need to be rescheduled so stay tuned.
For some insight to the lovely screenshots and a place to put the ones you're proud of in general.

Lotro News:
All the LOTRO news centres around the upcoming large update 19. And the players have their video's all ready since the first beta had already been released. And with the second beta in place we're slated for a release in the end of October .

Its nice to see so many events going on in the Kinship. There aren't that many communities in MMO's these days that arrange so much, which is a shame and its something more clans/guilds/kins should get into.
